WINOOSKI, Vt. —
Residents in attendance in person and virtually said at the Winooski City Council meeting Tuesday night the quality of life in the city has significantly diminished since the arrival of F-35s.
Some people who came up to speak were noticeably upset, even on the verge of tears and shaking talking about their experience.
“I hate living here now,” one resident said. “It’s unbearable for me.”
“It physically hurts my ears. I can sometimes feel it in my body,” another resident added.
The Vermont Air National Guard and city council listened to two hours of testimonies from dozens of citizens, many of whom live directly under the flight path of the F-35s.
