BURLINGTON, Vt. —
Some are worried about the new F-35 fighter jets scheduled to arrive at the Vermont Air National Guard base in South Burlington this fall.
“It’s important to me because I live in the neighborhood in South Burlington that borders the airport and I feel like our neighborhood has been decimated by decisions made that don’t take into account the people of the neighborhood,” said Carmine Sargent.
It’s why the group Citizens Against Nuclear Bombers” is urging Vermonters to call their representatives to support a resolution against ever bringing any nuclear weapons to the state.
